I'd like to say we all have to start somewhere, but my editor would appropriately remind me it is cliché. Instead, I will use my first-ever blog post to highlight an interesting marketing strategy by the makers of my cat's food. (Maybe there's a distant connection to reading or writing, which my first blog should be about, in theory.) Tiki Cat's Succulent Chicken contains no tuna or fish, and the can proudly displays the "dolphin safe" logo. Not only do I love that they're environmentally conscious, but now they've opened up a whole new world of marketing ideas for me to consider. What's next? "Gluten free" on my Diet Coke?
